As a user of PhotoShop CS6, I look at the possibility that support for ACR in CS6 will end soon and I’ll have to move to CaptureOne, LR, or something else for raw extraction, because I won’t rent from Adobe.
So instead of 8.6, what about 8.51, since it’s so few cameras–though yes there are the lens profiles?
The point remains with the move from ACR 6 (which ended at 6.7) to 7, support for ACR in Photoshop CS5.1 ended.
So the D810 may be the obvious reason, but you ignored the real question.

Started out doing photography at the age of 6 using an uncle's old 1940 kodak brownie box camera. At 15 years of age, I decided to buy my very own 1975 Praktica SLR camera. I now shoot with a Nikon D850. I do unpaid TFP and commercial paid work.
