Canon India has posted a teaser on its Facebook page showing a 1-series DSLR alongside the words ‘Get your camera ready, something BIG is coming’. Being a teaser rather than a leak, the meaning of the post is open to interpretation, although ‘get your camera ready’ suggests that the new product might be a lens, rather than the 7D Mark II which a lot of you (as well as us) were probably hoping for.
Our money is on a redesigned version of the venerable 100-400mm F4.5–5.6L IS USM zoom which was released in 1998 and has looked ripe for replacement for some time now.
With Photokina just around the corner, the rumors about what might be announced from the major manufacturers are already flying. What do you think Canon’s teaser might mean? Let us know in the comments.

Started out doing photography at the age of 6 using an uncle's old 1940 kodak brownie box camera. At 15 years of age, I decided to buy my very own 1975 Praktica SLR camera. I now shoot with a Nikon D850. I do unpaid TFP and commercial paid work.
