Your analogy makes as much sense as flamingos in the arctic. I have no idea what you are trying to say. DSLR is too broad of a group, everything from the go-kart to a formula one falls in the DSLR category, and the same could be said for mirrorless, but both are interchangeable lens.

I think the pentax k30/50 should be considered too. Its got pretty great features for its price. I’m sure its below $1000 too.
