By Aaron Wong There is something mesmerizing about the way models and fabric move underwater that makes it a dream to photograph. I have done so for many years and I must say it is still every bit as fascinating as the first frame I shot. As a fashion photographer, the make-believe world of glossy fashion images is nothing new, so I guess it is safe to say that bringing them into underwater was more of a natural progression. The weightlessness of the underwater world blows the window of creativity wide open and I know no other environment that can even remotely come close to the fluidity...
This shot was taken at Fire Island National Seashore in New York, about 20 minutes from where I live, making it easy to get to whenever I feel the need to make an image. This image was taken on a cold early spring day. EOS 5D Mark III, EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye Zoom. 1/60 @ f/16. The Cookie Mansion by Quentin Bacon is a couple years old, but because I follow Quentin’s work, I was browsing through his YouTube channel and noticed the Cookie Mansion video and realized that some how I had missed it before. I actually just singed up after reading this post… I’ve only visited DPR with frequency about once every three years, whenever I’ve decided to upgrade my point and shoot. FA31/1.8 Ltd is different lens. Smaller, lighter and with very special image characteristic. Not to mention some (small) difference in angle of view. Comparing these two is a bit apples vs oranges. But its nice to have this 35/1.4 option, as new FA35/2 now costs silly amount of money and DA35/2.4 is optically good, but cheapo-build lens and not that fast considering aperture.. This sigma 35/1.4 is faster, shows better bokeh and might also be as sharp as FA35/2 + have a bit less CA.. but also is bigger, heavier and I’m not sure about carrying it a lot instead of my FA35/2…...

First of all, neither M9 nor X2 are rebadged Panasonics.
