Here, I managed to avoid making the mistake, even though I shot the lens wide open at f/1.2, by having my subject keep both eyes on the same plane. My Most Common Portrait Mistake

Here, I managed to avoid making the mistake, even though I shot the lens wide open at f/1.2, by having my subject keep both eyes on the same plane. The look is striking, in that the depth of field drops off immediately and the image softens dramatically after the area of sharp focus around the eyes. Exposure was 1/6400, f/1.2, ISO 200. Wow I really liked it! Nice colors, cris and low noise, much better than some samples from others web sites, maybe the photographer is better lol… I already have the RX-100, I think that for me it is not worth to have the MX-1 as a second camera or to replace mine… I believe that a larger sensor would fit as the camera is chunkier than the RX-100, although I dont think that they could keep such a fast lens… Nevertheless this camera offers a lot for the price, although a $350 price would really help Pentax to speed it sales against LX7, G15 and XZ-2!

If this flash (as seems) is similar to the EPL-2 one, it can be bounced by tilting it with your finger, a huge advantage. I prefer the styling to the EM-5, as I never liked the ‘hump’, though would much prefer an EVF in the side, like the Nex 6 and 7 have, though as I have some very fine m43 lenses, this is more up my street. From what I’ve read, I’m expecting the same 16mp sensor from the EM-5, which is a big step up from the EP-3 but I was hoping for some phase-detect pixels, or a new generation sensor, though I suppose those will come with the EM-6. If this flash (as seems) is similar to the EPL-2 one, it can be bounced by tilting it with your finger, a huge advantage. I prefer the styling to the EM-5, as I never liked the ‘hump’, though would much prefer an EVF in the side, like the Nex 6 and 7 have, though as I have some very fine m43 lenses, this is more up my street. From what I’ve read, I’m expecting the same 16mp sensor from the EM-5, which is a big step up from the EP-3 but I was hoping for some phase-detect pixels, or a new generation sensor, though I suppose those will come with the EM-6. In my opinion it betters the E-M5 in terms of design, whilst retaining the Pen FT’s styling cues. Plus it adds what appears to be the same exposure dials layout as the E-M5. Nice touch. The previous E-Ps had dual controls too, but the lower one was fiddly to reach. I’m not really warming up to the tilting screen, but it should be useful for shooting at certain angles. I could do with an electronic viewfinder in the place of the flash, too, but after two years shooting with an E-P1 I became used to looking at the screen. Started out doing photography at the age of 6 using an uncle's old 1940 kodak brownie box camera. At 15 years of age, I decided to buy my very own 1975 Praktica SLR camera. I now shoot with a Nikon D850. I do unpaid TFP and commercial paid work.
