I realise the typical tiny flash is too weak to light up a large room at ISO 80, but there are lots of other uses for a bounce flash. Things like bouncing off a close wall for a portrait, or off a white sheet of paper for a product shot. Lots of uses even with low power.
That said, I’ve shot whole rooms too with my LX5 flash bounced upwards using an index card. It does a passable job with its fast lens.
