F-Stop Gear has introduced Kashmir, a camera backpack designed specifically for women. Kashmir is billed as an ultra-light camera pack with a harness system and torso height adjusted to complement a woman’s body, something accomplished through the use of an Ultra Lite EVA-padded hip belt and what the maker says are ‘female specific S-shoulder straps’. The bag is being funded through Kickstarter.
Kashmir weighs a bit over 1kg and is compatible with F-Stop’s Internal Camera Unit system. In addition to the tailored design, the backpack features quick-release side compression straps, mesh side pockets, stabilizer straps for adjusting the load, and Daisy Chain loops for attaching accessories.
Across the front of Kashmir is a sternum strap track featuring a whistle, while on the back photographers are given a Jersey laminate EVA-padded panel for quick access to their equipment. Other notable features include a hydration port sealed with Velcro, Hypalon base, front and side pocket drainage weep holes, a reversed YKK zipper, and fourteen GateKeeper loops for those who use F-Stop’s GateKeeper Straps. Overall, Kashmir is made from DWR-treated and PU2-coated 210D Ripstop Nylon.
The company is seeking $35,000 USD in funding through Kickstarter, where photographers can order the bag for $139 USD (early-bird pricing). Delivery is estimated for May 2015, with global shipment being offered via warehouses in St. Louis, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, and Tilburg.

Started out doing photography at the age of 6 using an uncle's old 1940 kodak brownie box camera. At 15 years of age, I decided to buy my very own 1975 Praktica SLR camera. I now shoot with a Nikon D850. I do unpaid TFP and commercial paid work.
