I always liked both since the first digital camera I used could do video, back then it was 320×240 MJPEG without sound but I still took couple clips. It’s nice that you share your opinion there but it works only for you and doesn’t represent other people.
In fact I picked and bought my DSLR because it can do nice video too, with Magic Lantern I can even use it for RAW capture, similarly to photos.
