Almost perfect! Let’s GM6 will have a pop-up retractable evf like RX100 (preferably the same with the GH4/LX100?), the lcd will go back to the GM1 format and the f1/f2 buttons and 2nd wheel rearranged, the focusing mode wheel will go to the front (as in Sony RX1), and the top wheel will become a 2nd control wheel, with an extra f button in the middle (personally I would even like a repositioning of the on/off switch, so that a control wheel can be placed around the shutter). Let us also hope that a nice IBIS and 2nd curtain will be added, somehow.
In the meantime, if the various tweaks in autofocus speed etc can be implemented to a new version of the GM1’s firmware, those of us who have already invested in one will feel fewer regrets for our early investment – short of that many of us will be tempted to go the way Panny wishes – get an LX100 AND a 35-100/3.5-5.6 for our GM1, let the GM5 to those who have not already invested in a GM1, and wait for the GM6 next year…
