The sixth Marwell Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition is now accepting entries. This is an annual contest open to wildlife photographers residing in the UK, with a top prize that includes an eight day photography trip in Estonia via Wildlife Worldwide (valued at £1,795/$2,740) and a year’s subscription to Digital Photographer magazine. Other prizes offered include camera gear and annual Marwell Zoo memberships.

The latest contest includes four categories: native wildlife, which is described as ‘Flora and Fauna’ that is either resident or native in the British Isles, ‘Cute and Funny,’ Marwell Wildlife residents, and Marwell Wildlife endangered. Judges will be looking at whether entries show ‘the essence of nature,’ photographic excellence, a high quality, and ‘great composition.’

The judges are Amy Squibb, an editor for Digital Photographer Magazine; Chris Breen, Managing Director for Wildlife Worldwide; Laura Barwick, an Image Consultant for the BBC Natural History Unit; and wildlife photographer Jason Brown. There’s a £10 fee to enter the competitions for adults, though the fee is waived for younger entrants. Photographers can enter the contest twice with up to 10 photos.
