So, you may ask...

Well, here it goes: One of the most useless things I see a lot of photographers doing with their time is trying to get popular on social media. There, I said it! Now, please let me explain. There are certainly benefits of having a strong social media presence. I would be an idiot not to realize that. Just look up people like Colby Brown, Chris Burkhard, Nicole S. Young, Trey Ratcliff, Hilary Fox, etc. These people get flown around the world by large and small...

The sports version is dust and splash-proof (only the mount is sealed on the ‘C’ version), and both lenses boast new versions of Sigma’s ‘OS’ optical image stabilization system. read moreI was expecting a replacement for my D700 and they announced a glorified D610. Now I have to save for a d3s or something. 1/4000 and 1/200 sync ? This gives a hint as to where they got the shutter unit. SD cards ? Really ? I have CF cards, they are robust and fast, I love CF cards and I have never bent a pin in my D700 even though I use 3 different cards. AA filter ? Was it necesary on top of the rest ?! The body seems smallish, with a modest grip. I got into Nikon when the engineers and photography enthusiasts designed and specked the...

The reason this ability is so enticing is that you can shoot flash-lit images at wide open apertures in full sunlight, allowing for a shallow depth of...
