Smashing Mystery Riddle: Have You Figured It Out Yet? By Vitaly Friedman March 27th, 2014 Books, Events 0 Comments By now, you might actually know how it works. Practical Tips To Build Your Street Photography Confidence

A Post By: Michael Walker-Toye The noble pursuit of street photography requires a good measure of cunning and bravado. Of course, there is the ever present hurdle of luck and opportunity. Beyond knowing your streets, their patterns and ad hoc events, getting that wonderful shot is a guessing game. A New Photographer’s Guide to Camera Settings

A Post By: James Maher Folegandros, Greece – 24mm focal length at f/11 Without experience, looking at the endless functions and dials on a camera can seem daunting, and it is at first, especially with many of the newer digital cameras that have about 5,000 functions (I’m looking at you Nikon). Get up high: Orion DVC210 DLSR crane review

Posted by on 28th, Mar, 2014 in Blog | 0 comments

I always liked both since the first digital camera I used could do video, back then it was 320×240 MJPEG without sound but I still took couple clips. It’s nice that you share your opinion there but it works only for you and doesn’t represent other people. In fact I picked and bought my DSLR because it can do nice video too, with Magic Lantern I can even use it for RAW capture, similarly to photos. Did you know that you don’t have to read articles and post comments under them if they don’t interest you? Let...

Let’s Talk About Light – 3 Types of Lighting Conditions and how to Use Them

A Post By: Daniela Beddall What‘s all this talk about light? When I started my photography journey I remember every article (or so it felt like), blog or book I read talking about light. “Find the light!”, “SEE the light!”, “It’s all about the LIGHT!”, “Follow THE LIGHT!”… AHHHH WHAT’S ALL THIS TALK ABOUT LIGHT!!! Sound familiar? I soon became obsessed about light. I would stare at people as they were talking to me; daydreaming, watching how the light was falling on their faces. When I was out walking I would always be...

Are Lightroom Develop Presets Worth the Money?

A Post By: Andrew S. Gibson I was recently approached by a representative of Delicious Presets to review their product. The review is below, but when I looked at the details on their website it occurred to me that there are other questions to answer: Are Lightroom Develop Presets (the sort you buy from someone) worth the money? And if they are, how do you know which ones to buy given that most websites won’t refund your money if you are unhappy with the product? Let’s start with Delicious Presets, then dig into those later. The promise on...

Apple applies for dual-sensor camera patent

Having two distinct sensors in one camera appears to be the flavor of the week. HTC just launched the One M8, the first smartphone to feature a dual-sensor camera. At the same time Apple Insider spotted an Apple patent application that was published on Thursday by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The application is titled: “Electronic device with two image sensors.” It describes a camera design that uses two sensors, one for capturing color and the other for capturing luminance, or brightness information. The final...
