The Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) collaboration has published a new view of the black hole at the center of the M87 galaxy. The EHT published the first-ever image of a black hole in 2019. A new patent application from Canon has revealed the company is working to develop a trio of ultra-wide lenses for its RF mount mirrorless cameras. First seen by Canon News, the patent application details the optical designs for a 12mm F2.8 lens, a 14mm F2.8 lens and a 20mm F2.8 lens. Typically, these patent applications show off multiple optical designs that don’t always make it to market, but Canon has both a 14mm F2.8 and 20mm F2.8 lens for its EF mount cameras, so it’d make sense to carry those two options over to its mirrorless mount....

As we reported last December, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) released its final rule for the Remote Identification (Remote ID) of Unmanned Aircraft. The document included a plan to offer a Remote ID recurrent exam for Part 107-certified commercial remote pilots. Testing was supposed to commence on March 1st, but was pushed back to March 16th before experiencing another delay.
