Pergear has announced its latest lens, a 10mm F8 fisheye lens for APS-C camera systems that’s not much larger than your standard lens cap.

The pancake fisheye lens is constructed of five elements in four groups, including three extra-low dispersion elements. Despite being incredibly small, Pergear has managed to squeeze a manual focus lever into the frame of the lens (minimum focusing distance is 30cm / 1ft), however F8 is the only aperture you have to work with.

On Fujifilm X mount, Sony E mount and Nikon Z mount, the lens has a 15mm equivalent focal length; on Micro Four Thirds (MFT) camera systems, the lens has a 20mm equivalent focal length. The ultra-compact lens measures 55mm (2.17”) in diameter, 10mm (.39”) thick and weighs just 80g (2.8oz).

Started out doing photography at the age of 6 using an uncle's old 1940 kodak brownie box camera. At 15 years of age, I decided to buy my very own 1975 Praktica SLR camera. I now shoot with a Nikon D850. I do unpaid TFP and commercial paid work.
