Good solid review I think.
I bought an Em5 II and am liking it very much so far. With good lenses (I have the 12-40 f2.8, 40-150 f2.8 and 60 Macro) it’s a formidable camera. Yes, you will have better images at high ISO with some other mirrorless cameras, but I chose the OMD due to the excellent lens selection and size/weight advantages. It’s very versatile, robust, and can deliver great images.
I found it interesting that the review basically found the EM5 II delivers images equal or better than the Canon 70D, which I had considered buying a couple of years ago due to its features and lens selection, but passed because I wanted a smaller, lighter camera. With the EM5 II, I have gotten exactly that.
My only “gripe” is that it would’ve been ideal if the rumored upcoming new M43 sensor (18mp, huge DR, very low noise at high ISO) had débuted in the EM5 II. Would’ve been the perfect model to show where M43 is going next. As it stands, it’s just a well refined version of what came before.

Started out doing photography at the age of 6 using an uncle's old 1940 kodak brownie box camera. At 15 years of age, I decided to buy my very own 1975 Praktica SLR camera. I now shoot with a Nikon D850. I do unpaid TFP and commercial paid work.
