I was expecting a replacement for my D700 and they announced a glorified D610. Now I have to save for a d3s or something.
1/4000 and 1/200 sync ? This gives a hint as to where they got the shutter unit.
SD cards ? Really ? I have CF cards, they are robust and fast, I love CF cards and I have never bent a pin in my D700 even though I use 3 different cards.
AA filter ? Was it necesary on top of the rest ?! The body seems smallish, with a modest grip.
I got into Nikon when the engineers and photography enthusiasts designed and specked the cameras, now it’s all down to the marketing department designing a gradient in the camera lineup, from the cheapest to the most expensive. A loosing strategy, made for the amateurs. What am I supposed to buy as a full-on action camera ? The D4s ? Too heavy, too expensive, overkill.
Screw this, they can keep it !
