Venus Optics has announced its new Laowa Argus 25mm F0.95 MFT APO lens for Micro Four Thirds camera systems.
The apochromatic lens, which offers a 50mm full-frame equivalent field of view on Micro Four Thirds camera systems, is constructed of 14 elements in eight groups, including one aspherical element, one extra-low dispersion element and three ultra-high-refractive index elements. It uses a nine-blade aperture diaphragm, offers an aperture range of F0.95 throguh F11, has a minimum focusing distance of 25cm (9.8â€) and uses a 62mm front filter thread.

The fully-manual lens is constructed entirely of metal and features both knurled aperture and focus rings (300° focus throw) for physical adjustments. Venus Optics also says the lens has been designed to have minimal focus breathing, making it an ideal candidate for shooting video. measures 71mm (2.8â€) in diameter, 86mm (3.4â€) long and weighs around 570g (1.25lbs).
